to all your juney qs!

Where can I find cocojune?

To find a store with cocojune nearest you, enter your city or zip code into the search function on our find us page here. At this time we’re only available in stores within the United States.

We unfortunately aren’t able to accommodate online orders, as we don’t currently have the ability to ship directly to consumers. We recommend checking out some of our online grocery partners such as Fresh Direct and Imperfect Foods as they do offer shipping to select regions!

What does plastic neutral mean?

cocojune is teamed up with rePurpose Global to track all the plastic that’s used in our retail packaging and food-service containers. That amount is measured and we then pay for having an equivalent quantity removed from nature. Through this partnership with rePurpose Global, we’re supporting Project Saaf Samudra in Goa to employ and empower marginalized waste workers. These teams ethically reclaim and dispose of low-value plastic waste that’s flushed into landfills or oceans. We invite you to read more about our partnership here

We’re very excited to have the plastic neutral certification as we feel it’s a step forward toward becoming more sustainable and eco-friendly.

Are cocojune cups compostable or recyclable?

Unfortunately, our cups cannot be recycled or composted at this time. We have to maintain a very thin plastic lining on the inside of the container to ensure the shelf life of our yogurts.

Is cocojune Kosher?

Yes, cocojune is certified kosher through the OU certification!

Is cocojune safe for those with celiac?

Yes, cocojune is a celiac-safe product as there’s no gluten in it and it’s made in a gluten-free facility.

Is cocojune pasteurized?

Yes, our yogurt base is fully pasteurized prior to fermentation (similar to normal dairy yogurts).

Can’t cassava be toxic to consume?

The cassava flour we use is steam and heat-treated before we receive it so there are no toxins to worry about!

Where do you source your coconuts from?

All of our coconuts are harvested in Sri Lanka (by humans, not monkeys which can be the case in Thailand and Indonesia). We were extremely diligent in reviewing their labor practices and overall farm to ensure they adhered to our standards.

Our coconuts are organically grown, which is not just better for the local environment, but it also favors independent farmers. Their smaller operations are better equipped to compete in the higher-paying organic market than in the conventional market, which is dominated by larger plantations with more day laborers.

Do you use live probiotics?

We take our probiotic claims very seriously, so we can assure you the cultures we use are very much alive. There’s no heat/kill step post-fermentation, so all of our cocojune products are booming with bacterial activity when they hit the shelf.

Can you freeze cocojune?

We find that when cocojune is frozen it loses its creamy and fluffy texture! It separates and looks almost like cottage cheese. For that reason, we don’t recommend freezing it.

The texture of my cocojune isn’t as creamy or fluffy. Has it gone bad?

If your cocojune texture looks off in any way, whether the consistency seems gritty, grainy, separated, or curdled, please reach out to us at hello@cocojune.co so we can help! This texture is not a result of a spoiled product. Rather, your cocojune has been unintentionally frozen either in transit or at the store you purchased it from. Unfortunately, cocojune cannot be frozen as it loses its dreamily delicious texture when thawed. If you come across a frozen june, let us know so we can ensure the optimal temperatures are being properly maintained for the storage of our products.

How long can I keep an opened cocojune in my refrigerator?

For our 4oz containers, we recommend eating them as soon as you open them. Store any leftovers in an airtight container to finish within a day or two!

For our 16oz containers, we recommend using a clean spoon each time you eat it. We also suggest putting the top lid back on after to make sure it’s sealed well. We find that if you do both of these things, the container should be good in the fridge for at least a week.

What is the organic vegetable fiber listed in the ingredients?

Depending on the availability of the ingredient, we source fiber from either chicory root, Jerusalem artichoke, or agave. This fiber, also known as inulin, provides our products with prebiotic properties, as well as a slight sweetness and creaminess. Since this fiber is extracted and concentrated, it does not carry any of the flavor from the vegetable it’s extracted from.
